In 2011 KaraTau Consulting were contracted by MAERSK OIL ANGOLA to conduct a full commissioning test on the semi-submersible drilling rig “PRIDE SOUTH PACIFIC” or “ENSCO 5001” offshore Pointe Noir DRC before the rig was dispatched offshore ANGOLA for MAERSK. Our specialist engineer was on station for a full two months testing all of the rigs systems to ensure that the rig was fully ready for service before starting the contract.
MAERSK subsequently reported that the rig went into service and did not have any breakdowns or downtime due to equipment failure.
